Working Hours: Weekday site-based workload, typically around 07:30 – 16:30, with practical flexibility depending on weather, programme and live site requirements.

Job overview

This labourer opening is for self-employed contractors working with Top Cover Roofing Specialists on site support, strip-out, loading, protection and general roofing-assistance tasks. It is not a PAYE employed role. We want dependable, physically capable operatives who can represent Top Cover properly on site, follow direction well and grow their roofing exposure while working on a self-employed contractor basis.

Responsibilities

Prepare sites, materials, tools and access equipment before works begin.
Support strip-out, loading, protection, lifting and clean-down tasks safely.
Maintain tidy working areas and uphold Top Cover presentation standards on every project.
Assist lead roofers with repairs, replacements, guttering, flat roofing and remedial works.
Follow instructions, RAMS guidance and toolbox talks with a safety-first mindset.

Requirements

Positive attitude, punctuality and willingness to work outdoors in changing conditions.
Construction-site awareness with a strong respect for health and safety procedures.
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate professionally with supervisors.
Clear understanding that this vacancy is for a self-employed contractor working with Top Cover, not for a PAYE employee post.
CSCS card preferred; training support available for the right candidate.
Driving licence helpful but not essential for every applicant.
