Job overview

This is a leadership-first PAYE employed role for someone who combines strong roofing capability with planning discipline, calm communication and the presence to run sites properly from set-up to handover. Team leaders are core employees inside the Top Cover operation, with a fuller review journey reflecting the responsibility of the post.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily site execution, sequencing, labour and quality control.
  • Act as the main operational lead on site, escalating issues quickly and clearly.
  • Support apprentices, labourers and roofers with coaching and accountability.
  • Keep projects aligned with programme, safety requirements and customer expectations.
  • Maintain professional presentation, documentation and handover standards.

Requirements

  • Proven team leadership within roofing or closely related external works.
  • Confident communication with both trades and customers.
  • Strong safety culture and ability to enforce standards consistently.
  • Driving licence essential; relevant certifications highly desirable.
  • Organised mindset with the maturity to manage pressure professionally.
